Summer Reads 2019

Most people don’t know that I am a total book nerd. One of my most favorite feelings in the world is getting completely lost in a book and going to another world. Reading is such an amazing thing and for me is a big stress reliever to disconnect from my day to day craziness. I read depending on my mood, so I usually have 2-3 books that I am reading at the same time. I know that’s kinda weird but I enjoy completely different genres and sometimes I need to switch it up. I have been really into mystery-thriller books as of lately but I will always have a good girly rom-com book on hand. This summer I have read quite a few books although these are my favorites that I wanted to share.

The Flight Attendant

Author: Chris Bohjalian

Genre: Thriller, Mystery, Suspense

The Flight Attendant was non stop from the first chapter, I 100% brought it to the beach and I 100% had a very bad sunburn because I just could not stop reading. If you have jumped on the thriller and mystery train like I have in the past few years this book is for you. I have nothing but good things to say, wonderful characters who you can relate to and crazy twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.

When Life gives you Lululemons

Author: Lauren Weisberger

Genre: Humor, Humorous Fiction

When Life gives you Lululemons was gifted to me from my mama and she hit the nail right on the board with this one. This book is such a light and easy read – it paints a picture that the cover and title wouldn’t have given away. I was in love with how the characters had developed from the previous Devil Wears Prada novel. Reading this book had me laughing along with the characters and remaining empathetic with their struggles. Perfect summer beach/pool read.

The Woman in Cabin 10

Author: Ruth Ware

Genre: Mystery, Thriller, Suspense

OMG. I know that is not a complete sentence but this book had me going crazy from start to finish and even then I was completely confused in the best way possible. Mystery and Thriller do not even begin to describe this book and the amazing story line that keeps you guessing at every page turn. Absolutely incredible character development throughout the book that really hooks and keeps you invested. Good luck trying to put this one down.
